End of Summer........Bah!

Mid week and we are on day five of the long awaited rain
People at work are convinced that summer is over
No, I say! The forecast for the weekend is warm and sunny
Hooray because I will be on holiday for a week!

I made this little beauty on the weekend
"The Trinity" (boat, house & lighthouse) has attracted lots of attention

Working on some tiny boats and some more houses
I am planning to do a craft show in the fall, but this does fill me with dread
What if I go to all that trouble and no one buys anything?
I will have to give this some careful consideration!

Canada Day

Happy Canada Day!

The two lighthouse I made at the weekend are ready for delivery

and this little beauty is packaged up en route to jolly old England, thanks to an Etsy buyer!

Two birthdays coming up this week so I have been making gifts

Say it with flowers

Driftwood, nails and glass beads!

No need to water and last forever.

The Pirate Lighthouse

Variation on a theme

This little creation was for fun
If I'm making 3 lighthouses I might as well make 4!
I think it kinda cute!

What have I been making?

More lighthouses have been dispatched!
I get that they are cute (great present for a coastal lover) but I miss the opportunity to make something quirky and more interesting!

I had a couple of other requests (pictures to come once delivered), which helped ease my pain

Happy Birthday!

I made this as a Birthday gift. The recipient was very
pleased to receive such a colorful and quirky gift

This is the special order, delivered today
The request was for a "garden" sized Lighthouse
Really pleased how well it turned out!

and finally today these two little beauties were sold on my Etsy shop
They are now at the mercy of Canada Post
(They were wrapped with love and care!)
Hopefully they will arrive safe and sound in Montreal!

Long Weekend

Post vacation I've had a few things to be getting ready

Lighthouses? What is the attraction with lighthouses?

A small one with working light and a 3' one for the garden!

Whatever floats your boat (PUN intended)!

This lovely plaque is awaiting approval from the buyer and

this is a gift for a birthday, but who is the recipient?

Quite the production line!

Taking advantage of a long weekend to get some orders ready

Am really glad that I have chosen to take pictures of the process

Looking at the finished product makes me very proud and I have to say the smiles I get from buyers makes the work not seem like work at all!

These lighthouses are all similar but all slightly different
It's the texture of the wood and the finish that excites me
The working light is just that little extra!

This mini cruise liner and lighthouse are for Sue

and this is a retirement gift for a friend who is an avid boater!

What next?

A Fathers Day gift idea. What do you think?

Happy Easter

This little Bunny was made for the Easter gift basket competition we had at work

Our basket won and Sarah who I work with, won our basket in the raffle

So glad this little fellow is going to a good home

Long weekend so much creating to be done!

Thank you to Wendy Kelson who sent me this picture of the light house I made for her

So satisfying to get feedback about my creations and the pleasure they bring

Enough idle chat...time to work!

Happy Easter

Midweek Update

My hard work at the weekend paid off and I was able to deliver this lovely Lighthouse on Monday
It has sparked a lot of interest indeed I have orders for two more!

This was a custom make for a lovely lady in Clacton-on-Sea, UK
It is now flying Airmail to her door
I love the little outhouse, which was her request!

I refer to this as Lynn's house as I made it to display the wicked teeny tiny blankets that she knitted for me

.....and finally for today, my friend Dallas took this shot of "Buoy oh Buoy" which I made for her birthday. It is now hanging proudly at her home...awesome!
