Special order #retro

At the sale two weeks ago, I was asked to make a special order

"Can you make a campsite with a retro camper?"

Of course I could,  love a challenge!

The buyer was thrilled, me too!

Signed up for the Christmas Bazaar at the community centre on 4th November 

I'd better crack on with some projects!

Time to get things finished

Always nice to get an order through Etsy to start the weekend

But on with the serious job of getting a some projects that I'd started, completed

First I had a whole bunch of flowers to complete

I found some Sand Dollars that I had collected, these made a great centre

As did the mini bark chips and some buttons I had laying around

Feeling pleased with myself, I played for a few minutes and made this little piece 

I am always amazed at how some simple ideas really come together

Next were the Christmas (it physically pains me to say that word in September!) wreaths

They turned out pretty well and I've already had an enquiry about them.

Sadly my weeks holiday is over so back to the real world of work in the morning, adieu!

My philosophy with selling my driftwood creations is similar to my own expectations, I am spending my hard earned cash and expect a certain level of service

 

Keeping the customer happy will eventually pay off, return custom and the invaluable word of mouth advertising that sells a product!

 

I am humbly off to create something fabulous!

Weekend Update

 

I am always glad and surprised when I get an order for  my boats and houses on Etsy

This weekend there was a special order for a similar boat to something I had previously made,

and sold

 

This was the draft version for my customer in the U.S

 

The requested addition of portholes, two on each side was very very pleasing

I hope the customer will be pleased too!

Special Order

It is always a joy when I deliver a special order piece

I made this little lovely over the weekend and it was very well received

The special request was that the clothes line must contain 5 items to match the five children for the recipient. I can only hope they are as pleased with the result as I am!

Long Weekend

 

Post vacation I've had a few things to be getting ready

The joy of a long weekend is plenty of time to get creative

 

These two houses were special requests and have turned out beautifully

 

I used nails for the chimney pots and bark for the roof on the tiny birdhouse

 

The pale colors have really brought out the grain and textures in the wood

 

I hope they love them as much as I do

Midweek Update

My hard work at the weekend paid off and I was able to deliver this lovely Lighthouse on Monday

It has sparked a lot of interest indeed I have orders for two more!

 

This was a custom make for a lovely lady in Clacton-on-Sea, UK

It is now flying Airmail to her door

I love the little outhouse, which was her request!

 

 

I refer to this as Lynn's house as I made it to display the wicked teeny tiny blankets that she knitted for me

 

 

.....and finally for today, my friend Dallas took this shot of "Buoy oh Buoy" which I made for her birthday. It is now hanging proudly at her home...awesome!
